Como fazer a configuração do Tablet

Passo a passo para configuração do Tablet:

• Inicialização inicial do dispositivo Android
• Android tweaks
• Install device remote management
• Install mSupply Mobile
• Install other apps

1. Ligue o Tablet
2. Você deverá ver uma tela de Boas-vindas (Welcome!) onde você será perguntado por qual lingua deseja escolher para a configuração do dispositivo. Selecione a lingua apropriada e em seguida clique em Iniciar (START).
3. Você deverá ser perguntado agora sobre qual rede Wi-fi deseja se conectar. Mesmo que você vá utilizar uma rede Wi-fi por enquanto simplesmente desligue (turn off) a opção de Wi-fi, e clique em Continuar (NEXT).
4. Você deverá ser perguntado agora se aceita os Termos e Condições (Terms and Conditions). Apenas um item parece obrigatório Acordo de Licença para Usuário (End User License Agreement). desmarque Diagnóstico de dados (Diagnostic data) e Informações de marketing (Marketing information), e clique em Continuar (NEXT).
5. Você deverá ser perguntado agora se aceita alguns serviços Google (Google services):
   1. ligue a opção Usar o serviço de localização do Google para ajudar os aplicativos (Use Google's location service to help apps)
   2. ligue a opção Aprimorar a acuidade da localização (Improve location accuracy)
   3. deslique a opção Enviar dados do sistema (Send system data), e clique em Continuar (NEXT).
6. Como você ainda não está conectado a uma rede Wi-fi, você deverá ser perguntado agora para configurar a Data e hora (Date & time). Configure de acordo com a data e horário atuais, e clique em Continuar (NEXT).
7. Você poderá ser perguntado agora sobre o Nome (Name), ou às vezes o Primeiro nome (First name) e Sobrenome (Last name). Não use a informação do funcionário do local aqui. A convenção a ser usada é que o Nome (ou Primeiro nome) seja o nome do local. Se for necessário um Sobrenome utilize o nome do distrito ou região. Por exemplo
   Nome: WAFI HC
   Sobrenome: Bulolo
   

   Tome cuidado: O Tablet poderá tentar corrigir automaticamente o nome!

   Clique em Continuar (NEXT).

8. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para inserir um tipo de bloqueio (Lock type). Selecione um PIN.
9. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para selecionar uma inicialização segura (Secure startup). Selecione a opção para Requisitar o PIN quando o dispositivo inicializar (Require PIN when device powers on). Clique em Continuar (CONTINUE).
10. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para Inserir o PIN (Set PIN). Insira 6787 (MSUP), insira novamente e confirme.
11. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para configurar as Notificações (Notifications). Selecione a opção Mostrar conteúdo (Show content), e clique em Feito (DONE).
12. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para Criar uma conta Samsung (Obviamente, esse passo será diferente para dispositivos de outras marcas). Clique em Pular (SKIP).
13. Você deverá ser perguntado agora para confirmar que realmente gostaria de pular a etapa para Criar uma conta Samsung (Skip Samsung account setup?). Clique em Pular (SKIP).
14. Você deverá ser perguntado agora se gostaria de configurar Mais ferramentas úteis (More useful features). Não aceite nenhuma opção. Clique em Finalizar (FINISH).

There are a number of tweaks that are worth applying before proceeding further:

1. The default screen timeout can be quite short (30 seconds). For normal mSupply operation, this is too short. This should be set to at least 2 minutes. Settings > Display > Screen timeout Set to, say, 5 minutes

For ease of use of the touch-screen keyboard it's a good idea to avoid capital letters. This is also facilitated by turning off 'capitalise first letter' in the keyboard settings on the device.

• Samsung devices: Settings > General management > Language and Input > On-screen keyboard > Samsung Keyboard > Smart typing > Auto capitalise: Off

As soon as your device accesses the internet, it will likely try to update software. This can take unnecessary time and data. We need to take action to minimise this. It is worth deleting or disabling as many extra apps on the device as possible, including:

1. All brand bloatware (Samsung / Lenovo / etc.)
2. All MS Office applications
3. All Google applications

• Settings > Software update > Download updates automatically Un-tick

• Settings > Lock screen and security > Unknown sources: Turn On

• Settings > Device maintenance > Device security Accept the prompted permissions request
• Knox active protection: Turn On

1. You may be prompted for various services by the pre-installed apps. Ignore / defer / deny all of these.

   At this point, the device will try and update its apps. Proceed as quickly as possible to the next step:

2. Turn off the manufacturer's Auto updates for the device:
   1. Apps > Samsung > Galaxy Store > Settings (top right menu) > Auto update apps > Never. While you are in the Auto update apps area:
   2. Turn Off Update notifications
   3. Turn Off Marketing choice

1. Enter the credentials for a local Wi-Fi network, then tap NEXT.

To prevent the SIM card being removed to be used on another device, it is a good idea to lock the SIM card with a PIN code.

As of 2019-10-15, the apps SureLock and SureMDM are used to remotely manage the Android devices running mSupply Mobile around the world.

• SureMDM allows remote management of the device. Using SureMDM we can install, update and uninstall software, track the location of lost devices and wipe the contents of the tablets remotely.
• Surelock locks the device into Kiosk mode. This means only the apps (mSupply, Telegram, Gmail, etc.) will be shown on the home screen and all other functions of the tablet are locked down.

Once SureMDM is installed on the device, considerable control over the device is possible including remotely deploying, installing and executing apps including SureLock.

This control is generally managed through SureMDM 'Jobs'. The exact configuration of Jobs will depend on a number of local factors, for details on how Jobs are configured refer to the SureMDM documentation.

The following apps (or equivalent) should be included:

• Calculator - use the device's calculato
• Wi-Fi centre - use the device's Wi-Fi control
• For communication between sites and with support workers:
  • Instant messaging - we recommend Telegram. Use the devices's SIM phone number, (not the operator)
  • Email - set up the device email app with an email address for the site/device (not the operator). We recommend Gmail.

While apps can be installed remotely using a SureMDM job, it may be more convenient to install them manually from a PC at the same time as installing the SureMDM and SureLock apps.
